About

Ratauli Yuwa Club (RYC) is an autonomous, non-partisan and non-profit making Non-governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2047 BS (1991 AD) in Mahottari District and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. RYC has, since its genesis, been dedicated and contributed to the socio-economic development of Nepal. It aims to facilitate and support deprived communities in ending all forms of discrimination and social evils, ensuring access to entitlements, promoting inclusion and sustainable development, combined with working in disaster response and humanitarian aid. Since its founding, RYC has been working in six districts of Madhesh Province – Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha, Saptari, Sarlahi, and Rautahat – as well as in Sindhuli district of Bagmati Province. Since inception to date, RYC possesses working experience with 92 development partners including donors, I/NGOs, NGOs and local governments, and is being used working with multiple projects in partnership with several development partners. However, RYC has been executing its entire development interventions in coordination and partnership with government agencies, bilateral organizations, international development organizations, national non-governmental organizations, and Partner’s Partner Organizations/ Community Based Organizations.

  • Mission: We facilitate and support ending all forms of discrimination, evil social practices and ensure access to entitlements, inclusion, and sustainable development of deprived communities.
  • Goal: A more self-reliant, prosperous, and inclusive organization (RYC) that contributes to Nepal’s development (mostly provincial) by delivering quality services in Health, Nutrition and Food Security, WASH, Education and Child Protection, Livelihoods and Economic Growth, Reducing Inequalities, Disaster Response and Humanitarian Aid; and Infrastructure outcomes.

Shared Values:

Shared values are the fundamental beliefs and principles that unite members of an organization, forming the foundation for trust, cooperation, and a collective identity. These values are crucial in guiding behavior, shaping organizational culture, and driving cohesive action toward common goals. They serve as a framework for decision-making and problem-solving. When members of a group share the same values, it becomes easier to reach a consensus on relevant issues.

Shared values foster cooperation and teamwork. When individuals recognize that they hold common values, they are more likely to collaborate effectively to achieve shared objectives. Additionally, shared values create a sense of identity and belonging, helping members feel connected to each other and to the organization as a whole.

RYC has put the finishing touches to the core/shared values followed by the workshop. Shared values incorporate Integrity, Accountability, Excellence, Teamwork, Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability, Social Justice, Democratic Practices, Respect for Local Culture, Religious Tolerance, Community Participation, and a Rights-Based Approach.
